writing things meant to be read is one thing, but knowing how to construct flowing conversations or engaging presentations is another. i have proven experience in creating dynamic, natural dialogue. by reviewing past videos of the target speaker(s) and chatting with them directly to learn their speech mannerisms, general use lexicon, and more, you can be sure i’ll deliver an excellent end product (and finally put my linguistics degree to use!). check out some examples below. if you want to read my pilot, please reach out in the say hello section of this website

longforms,

listicles

& more

writing at length about nerdy stuff is my jam and, importantly, i’m very good at it. my time writing video game walkthroughs at IGN has taught me how to create multimedia longform wiki-style articles, with content geared towards information fidelity and accurate reporting. on the other hand, writing headlines and quotables for the onion gamers network has perfected my ability to just completely make things up. totally antithetical to the IGN stuff. and sometimes i meet in the middle, like this article for cracked.com detailing weird linguistics that no one can explain

whether it’s articles about weird linguistics, video game satire or walkthroughs, or even the occasional TV pilot (available on request), sharing my interests and passions via text is where i truly excel.
